Instructions for poster presenters
The poster area is located in the Golden State Ballroom of the Town and Country.
Posters should be set up 8:00-11:00 on the day you are presenting
All posters should be taken down after the poster session is finished.

Poster size and format

  • All posters should include title, name of authors, institution, city and country.
  • The poster should be easily readable from a distance of 2 meters.
  • The language of the poster should be English.
  • Your poster should be formatted in landscape mode. The board provided to mount your poster is 8 ft wide and 4 ft tall, and you are free to arrange your poster on the available area as you wish. Please see the image below for reference.
  • Please bring your poster to the Conference yourself.
  • The Conference Secretariat will provide equipment for setting up the posters on the boards.
  • The Conference Secretariat does not take responsibility for left or damaged posters.


Instructions for Spotlight Poster Presenters

In addition to standard poster presentation in the Golden State Ballroom, the selected presenting author has one minute to present one slide highlighting the essence of the poster at the spotlight session in the main lecture room in Pacific Ballroom A at the end of morning plenary oral program, immediately prior to the poster session the same day. The purpose of the spotlight is not to present the poster but to entice the audience with sufficient curiosity to come see your poster afterwards. The one-minute, one-slide limit will be strictly enforced. All slides in the spotlight session will be combined into one presentation shared with all presenters over Google Slides in standard 16:9 widescreen format.

Instructions for Oral Presentations

Timing of Oral Presentations (15 min total)

  • 12 minutes to present
  • 3 minutes for Q&A

Presentation Format

  • Template: Please use the required Presentation PowerPoint Template that can be found on the top of the page. This downloadable slide template must be used for your oral presentation.
  • Format: PPTX, PDF, no keynote format is supported.
  • Slide size: 16:9. Please do not forget to embed your fonts and to attach your video files, as they cannot be embedded into the presentation.
  • Number of slides: No limit, just be weary of the duration of your talk.

Equipment Provided
All lecture rooms will be equipped with a computer, a video projector, and a microphone. The projectors will have 4000 Lumen and is located on a stand. The seating in the lecture rooms is theatre style. Every room will have one podium microphone.

Upload of presentation:

  1. Upload onsite
    Please bring your presentation on a USB flash drive to the conference. We do not allow the use of personal laptops for presentations. There will be an on-site AV technician collecting presentations on Tuesday, November 11th, from 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM in Pacific A. Your presentation must be uploaded at least an hour before the start of sessions.
