Neural Engineering is an emerging core discipline, which fuses fundamental neuroscience with engineering methodologies to enhance our understanding and develop applications that study, repair, integrate with, and enhance neural systems.

You are cordially invited join us at:the 8th International IEEE EMBS Conference on Neural Engineering, at the Regal International East Asia Hotel, Shanghai, China from 25-28 May 2017. Members of both the Neuroscience and Engineering Communities are encouraged to attend this highly multidisciplinary meeting.

The conference will highlight emerging engineering innovations in the restoration and enhancement of impaired sensory, motor, and cognitive functions, as well as novel engineering techniques for deepening our understanding of brain function, and advanced design and use of neurotechnologies.

All 4-page accepted papers will be provided on the USB symposium proceedings and published on IEEE Xplore afterwards. One page papers will also be available on the USB proceedings. Exemplary student competition papers will be recommended for publication in EMBS journals.

Contributions are invited in the following areas (but not limited to):

  • Neuroimaging
  • Brain-Computer and Brain-Machine Interfaces
  • Neural Computation and Modeling
  • Neuro-Nanotechnology
  • Neural Prostheses
  • Neuro-Robotics
  • Cognitive Neural Engineering
  • Neuromodulation
  • Brain Stimulation and Neuromodulation
  • Neurophotonics
